Overview
Asbestos is a virtually indestructible fiber that has been used broadly in construction, insulation and other building materials for many years. Its extreme durability make it a hazard for those who live, work, or go to school in the buildings that were built with asbestos products. Demolition workers or anyone that has been exposed to products that contain asbestos have the possibility of health risks including mesothelioma (cancer within the chest lining surrounding the lungs) and asbestosis (pulmonary fibrosis which cause the lungs to loose their elasticity).
